Variable Milfoil - this feather-like submerged plant can easily take over a water body within a few years. |

Fanwort - this pretty exotic has two fan-like leaves opposite from each other with a small white flower near the end of summer. |

Water Chestnut - this plant is currently found in a water body in Nashua. It has rosette leaves and a hard chestnut-like seed that can puncture skin. |

Brazilian Elodea - this plant looks like the native elodea found in New Hampshire waterbodies, but it has very fine teeth on the edges of the leaves. This is also found in only one waterbody in New Hampshire. This plant is thought to be introduced by the Aquarium trade. |
