Thank everyone for helping clean the lake when it was drained down. Which boosted the clarity of the lake from 2 feet last year to 7 ft this year. The testing on the lake was done Ecoli passing is 88 per colony in June Millville was as 27 per colony, in July it was 9 and in August it was 2 which is well below the state requirements. When the lake was dropped down it was checked to see if people were draining into the lake and no one is. Roland touched upon the CIP comity and them have a cap for the roads. We discussed the Lease agreement for the beach, which is between the Lake Association, and the town so that the Town residents have the ability to swim at the beach and keep it clean. It is owned by the town and all pay taxes to the town. If it got shut down no one would have access and property values would probably go down. The bathhouse is going to be fixed up by Volunteers and donations mostly cosmetic. Fishing Tournament coming up 9/8/02 and rain date 9/15/02 prizes provided by association. The lake has been restock with Bass. There is a problem with Purple LooseStrife; we want to get rid of it. Amy Smagula DEA touched on how to get rid of it. You need to cut the flower seed off and then put it in a plastic bag. Then pull the rest or dig it out. If people cannot do it we can and let a Member know so we have permission to go onto the land and get rid of it. People question why everything is done on Millville Circle, we are trying to get people involved on the other sides so that they can get stuff done there as well. There has been a problem with People crossing Dam and going onto property. We will looking further into this issue. Discussion came out about doing a lake association picnic next year. We will look into that further. |
