Dear Members; Thank God the winter is over!!, It's been long and cold. Time to clean the lake front and get it ship shape for summer. As you know the town did draw down the lake this year exposing the shore line so we can all clean up. We are having our Earth Day celebration this year on Sunday May 4th. I'm sorry for the late notice but I was trying to co-ordinate this with the town. Seriously, we need your help to clean up the town's property and all the area around the lake. We've done so well in the past let's keep up the good work. I will be at the beach at Millville Circle starting at 7:00 am to provide bags and cold drinks, then you can go to the area you want to clean. The town will pick up the bags at the beach at Millville Circle and the field at Little Saugus. Afterwards we will have a cookout at the beach. We have grills and picnic tables and you are welcome to bring your picnic lunch. Let's all pray for nice weather. See you there. Last year we held a senior fishing tourney that was a success despite the weather. Please if you are interested I need help in planning this. Please contact me at the cleanup or by calling me at 898-3516. I can't do this alone. The junior event takes a group of us to run and the senior event will be even more work. Now is the time that the 2008 dues ($30.00) are due. We have enjoyed your help in the past in helping the lake issues, as we have provided a lot of info at the membership meetings. We will be holding one soon and would like some ideas for any info that you want to see. Any suggestions? Anybody can help out at the cleanup, members and non-members alike, as this helps out the town clean their property that they can't afford to do and it makes our properties look nicer also. If you have some new neighbors that would like to join have them stop by the cleanup to see what we are all about or give us their address and we can send them a newsletter. We need as many members as we can get. We will need capital in the future to deal with water issues that come up as the town looks for water sources to keep the town supplied.
See you Sunday the 4th
