Dear Members, We will be holding our annual meeting at 115 Millville Circle, Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 7 PM, to discuss current lake issues such as lake cleanliness, weed control, the dam project and the Town Beach at Millville Circle. We will be discussing removal procedures on Purple Loostrife. As you can remember last year we were prepared to remove this weed, when we had a windy day, releasing the seedpods and distributing the seeds before we could even distribute a letter to all shoreline owners of the proper procedure. I have asked Amy Smagula to explain this again, but am currently awaiting her answer. Also this evening we will hold elections for officers. Anyone interested in holding an office can apply before the election. As you may know I have been involved in local government. One of the committee’s that I am on is the Lakes Area Infrastructure Committee where I have been named chairman. LAIP as it is referred to. This is the $71million sewer and water project that we are trying and getting on the ballot. I will answer any questions that you may have at this time. I hope I can alleviate any misconceptions you may have. The Committee will be holding neighborhood meeting in the fall and winter to educate the public in the area of the project. Together we can keep the lake clean. Hope to see you at the meeting.
